After nine months of self-exploration, group collaboration, learning, experiencing and evolution, I am now officially a Level-One certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga!
This is journey has been indescribably poignant. I am so grateful for the experience and the opportunity to work with so many amazing teachers and guides. Each one of the people in this group showed me such love and openness, as one said, "I didn't know people like you existed!" Truthfully, we were all reborn together into something completely new, both as individuals and as a community. We have our fingers on the pulse of life. Expect great things!! I am also honored to announce that starting in June I will be teaching Kundalini Yoga at a completely new concept spa: Serasana, opening soon in Westlake at Davenport Villages! Serasana.com and find them on Facebook! I am super excited and blessed to be part of this amazing team and ground floor concept of a spa, massage studio, yoga studio, acupuncture clinic and tea bar. I will also be lovingly serving tea and helping out at the front desk. Come see me Thursdays at Noon for yoga and I'll make you some tea afterwards! The fun and adventure won't be stopped this monkey year; beginning this month I will be stepping up to become an associate fitness and martial arts instructor under my trainer, Bryan Broussard. I am SUPER EXCITED for this opportunity as it shows the culmination of efforts of two of the most talented and dedicated people I know and I'm so grateful to be his second instructor to come up I his very own system. More on this later! beyondphysculture.com Keep your eyes and ears peeled because all good things are flowing your way from Crystalis Consulting!!! Be well!

a bouquet representing the colors of the lower three chakras and white to symbolize integration at the crown, green for the heart 💚We are engines of manifestation. The lower triangle, which governs the relationship to earth, water and fire, gives us the power and authority to create anything in this world. Without the earthy aspects, we fall flat. We can dream but we cannot realize. We might feel flighty, distracted or "stretched-thin," all symptoms of a lack of grounding. Living successfully from the lower centers requires discipline and grace. We must learn to balance the lower centers to our higher goals and ideals, lest we become immoral and self-gratifying. When the two triangles are in balance with their pivot-point: the heart-center, anahata, we begin to process and balance our ambitions with what is real and practical in the world and we move with a grace and certainty which belies a deep confidence that as we move, the world is also moved, that each breath creates something new, that our ideas have potential, that our seeds can find fruition. Look at your life and ask yourself if you can acknowledge your self-manifestation in all that you behold. For certainly, the things which you agree to will stay with you and become your life. There is absolutely nothing in your life which you are required to continue choosing. There are many thing we would abhor to abandon. But really look and ask yourself why you choose anything which causes you pain, discomfort, which makes you small or demands your sacrifice. Sometimes we choose these things for reasons we easily and completely justify, such as a disabled loved one. Oftentimes we simply lack the will to admit we are choosing, or the power to walk away, even when we KNOW our greater meaning is not being served by our suffering. Building the energy of the lower centers will give us this ability, to recognize and make decisions about our values and goals, to ACT and CREATE instead of simply talk and hope. Staying grounded keeps us in our center of creation, keeps our focus on our goals and helps us to find our "fit" within the grand scheme of what is, not just what we imagine. It is from this space that we are truly able to grow and manifest our heart's true desires! We are lucky to be living in this time of so much information at our disposal! The Aquarian Age brings us the opportunity to learn and grow in any direction we choose. Those of us open to it get to enjoy TWO New Years celebrations every year!!! New Year's Day worldwide is a time to examine and process the lessons of the year before and move forward with intention into the newness of what is to come. Many of us experienced some dramatic shifting as the year changed over, the old sometimes being pulled out right under our feet! Now we are left to integrate what is useful and move forward into the dynamism that is Fire Monkey. Eastern culture views time as cyclic and therefore each year has a particular quality relating to the zodiac and a specific element. After some meditation and research, these are my Feng Shui tips for this year! Year of Fire Monkey Recommendations Fire is an element of rapid expansion and change. It can be categorized as volatile and explosive. Combined with the clever and mischievous nature of the monkey, this is a time to be our own best critic. Are we acting from emotions, from our own sense of justice, or are we acting from acceptance of our role in the big picture? Are we considering the greatest good, or are we trying to get the most for ourselves? In Your Dealings This is a perfect opportunity to focus on our career goals and reputation. The Reputation area of the bagua is represented by the element of fire and monkey is one who has a colored reputation. Ensure all your dealings are squeaky-clean, no "mud-slinging"! Also, do your research and don't take all of what people say at face-value. Get your facts straight and make an informed decision. This is monkey-smarts. Monkey is adept and adroit and stays ahead of the game. He's usually writing the game! In Your Home Step inside your front door. What is blocking you? Are there objects cluttering behind the door, unfinished projects lurking about, dust or dirt lingering? Clean all of it up. The area around your door relates directly to your career. In order to have a good reputation and invite success, the energy must have a free path to enter and be expressed. Now, the area directly opposite and at the top center from your front door is your reputation area. Do you have a fireplace here? Many do! Clean it up and use it. If it is in disrepair, call a chimney sweep or repair man. This is really important. If you have disfunctional fire element in this area, it can cause serious regressive energy in your life during this year. No fireplace? No problem! Clean the area up. Remove any watery aspects immediately (fountains, anything blue, black or cool in color, any abstract shapes or art). Replace with triangular shapes pointing up, an oil lamp, candles, anything red. Think about expansion and power. Place objects that inspire you on your path of notoriety. To welcome the energy and set the tone, write your intention relaing to your career and reputation on a paper and burn it in this area of your home. Do this after a little cleaning and resetting of the energy. Imagine a group of people around you, applauding your success in_____. A big fire burns behind you as your receive your reward or accolade. You are at the top of your game. You are the embodiment of Fire Monkey! The Rest of Your Home Move any fire elements out of your water spaces (areas along the front wall of your home). Fire and water do not mix!!!! No need to create unnecessary drama for yourself this year, as we will all be very busy creating! If you have fire elements in other areas, be sure to balance them out. One way is to represent all elements in each area of your home. For more information and a personalized consultation, contact me! I can consult in person in Austin or via Skype anywhere in the world! My Reputation area, for your consideration. It needs a little de-cluttering! The art, even though it is greyscale, is paintings I created of fire objects. I have my compass there pointing its arrow at my front door. This is where I perform my ritual sage smudging and do my intentional work. It is a highly active area of my home. My oven happens to be here which is lucky for me. I keep a candle burning on it to keep the energy activated. The hanger is technically clutter, but as it was also a triangle, I leave it as an example. In feng shui, even simple objects placed with intention can be powerful energetic touchstones.
